How we make money, and any relationship that could influence what you see. We would rather over-explain this than have you wonder.

What we are

We are an enquiry service. We work out what you are trying to finance, give you a calculator to estimate repayments yourself, and — only with your consent — pass your enquiry to a licensed finance broker who takes it from there. We do not provide credit assistance, we do not arrange or recommend a loan, and we are not the credit provider.

That matters for this page, because it decides who is paid for what. Findnance is not paid for your enquiry — not by you, and not by the business that receives it. The broker is paid for the finance, and what they are paid is in the credit guide they give you. There is still a payment you should know about, because the person who owns this site works at that brokerage. It is set out below.

How we are paid

Findnance is not paid a referral fee, and Findnance receives no commission when a loan settles. The person who owns Findnance is employed as a finance broker at the brokerage your enquiry goes to, and may handle your enquiry personally. If your loan settles, they are paid a share of the commission that brokerage earns — that is the only money your enquiry produces for anyone here. Nobody pays us for your details, and you are never charged.

  • We do not charge you. Using this site, getting an indicative range and being put in touch with a broker cost you nothing. If that ever changes it will be stated before you give us anything.
  • Findnance is paid nothing for the referral — no fee from you, no fee from the business that receives the enquiry, and nothing added to your loan as a separate charge.
  • You can ask us what anyone connected to this site received in relation to your enquiry, and you can ask the broker what they are paid for your finance. Both should answer plainly.

What that means for the figures you see

The indicative figure on this site is produced by a calculation from what you tell us — amount, deposit, term, and a rate you set yourself. No lender pays for placement in it, and the calculation does not change to favour any lender or any amount — it is the same arithmetic whatever the answer. It is an estimate to help you judge whether the finance is worth pursuing, not an offer, a quote you can accept, or a pre-approval. Brokers earn more on larger loans, as every broker does; how that touches this site is set out under how we are paid.

What you are ultimately offered is decided by a credit provider after a full assessment. Approval is never guaranteed.

Referral relationships

We refer enquiries to a licensed finance broker. Findnance is not paid a fee for making that referral. We may also receive enquiries referred to us by third parties such as accountants, dealers or suppliers. Where a fee applies in either direction, we disclose it to the customer concerned.

Your enquiry goes to one licensed finance broker. We are not paid for that introduction, and nobody buys your details from us as a data set or per name. We do not sell your information to anyone else and we do not send it to a panel of buyers; if that ever changed we would ask you first, because it is a different permission from the one you gave — see our privacy policy.

What we are not paid to do

We are not the credit provider and we do not provide credit assistance. We hold no lender accreditations, we do not recommend a product, we do not lodge applications and we receive no commission when a loan settles. Those are the broker's to do and to disclose — see our credit guide for where their disclosure comes from.

General information only

Nothing on this site is financial, credit, legal or tax advice. It does not take account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. Any tax treatment of business finance depends on your circumstances — confirm it with your accountant before you rely on it.
